Abstract

Requirement validation is important in client-server applications because system behavior depends on accurate interaction between user interfaces, server-side logic, databases, authentication services, APIs, and network communication. Client-server systems often face requirement issues such as unclear data exchange rules, inconsistent user access conditions, incomplete transaction flows, performance expectations, and mismatched client-server responsibilities. Traditional requirement review may confirm general functionality, but it may not fully detect ambiguity, missing constraints, interface conflicts, or unrealistic operational assumptions before development begins. This article focuses on requirement validation techniques in client-server applications by examining stakeholder review, prototype evaluation, use case verification, interface specification checking, scenario-based walkthroughs, data flow validation, and acceptance criteria review. The study discusses how structured validation can improve requirement clarity, reduce rework, prevent design errors, and strengthen alignment between client expectations and technical implementation. The article concludes that effective requirement validation supports reliable client-server application development, improves communication among project teams, reduces defect injection, and increases confidence in final software delivery.
